The Imagery Navigator was designed to be an integrated viewer and download utility for imagery and raster data for Pennsylvania. This application facilitates the rapid display of multiple imagery collections in a single interface, and provides a way to download image tiles by simply clicking on the map.
Imagery collections in the Navigator include:
- Color 2003 - 2006 (Statewide): Natural color aerial photography provided by the PAMAP Program of the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Imagery has a horizontal resolution of 2 feet and capture dates between 2003 and 2006.
- Color 2007 - 2008 (Eastern PA): Natural color aerial photography provided by the PAMAP Program of the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Imagery has a horizontal resolution of 2 feet and capture dates between 2007 and 2008. This is an in-progress second cycle of state-wide imagery that is only complete for some counties.
- Lidar Hillshade (Western PA): Hillshade view of lidar elevation data produced by the Penn State Institutes of Energy & the Environment. The source lidar data was produced by the PAMAP Program of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Download options include the original DEM, contour lines and breaklines.
- Black & White 1993 - 1995 (Statewide): Black & white aerial photography provided by the USGS. Imagery has a horizontal resolution of 1 meter and capture dates between 1993 and 1995.
- Black & White 1999 - 2000 (Eastern PA): Black & white aerial photography provided by the USGS. Imagery has a horizontal resolution of 1 meter and capture dates between 1999 and 2000 for eastern counties only.
- Topo Map (Statewide): Scanned, seamless topographic map provided by the USGS.
